World Oceans Day 2024, celebrated on June 8th, raises awareness about the vital role oceans play in our lives and the need for their protection. This year’s focus highlights the significance of preserving marine environments for future generations. Azenco Outdoor, in partnership with 4ocean, is committed to ocean cleanup initiatives, demonstrating our dedication to environmental sustainability. Together, we pledged to remove 25,000 pounds of ocean plastic waste in 2024. By April, we made significant progress, collecting 13,355 pounds (about 6057.72 kg). This collaborative effort underscores the importance of corporate responsibility in safeguarding our oceans.

Ongoing ocean cleanup efforts are crucial for maintaining the health and biodiversity of our marine environments. Bali Medewi Cleanup (June 4th, 2024)

On June 4th, 2024, a dedicated crew of seven members took part in the Bali Medewi cleanup event. Their collective efforts led to the removal of an impressive 2,452.35 pounds of debris from the coastline. This significant contribution not only improves the local marine habitat but also raises awareness about the importance of sustaining such initiatives.

Bali Jembrana Beach Cleanup (June 4th, 2024)

Simultaneously, another team of eleven crew members engaged in a cleanup at Bali’s Jembrana Beach. This event resulted in the removal of 2,805.62 pounds of debris. The substantial amount of waste collected highlights the ongoing issue of pollution in these regions and the critical need for consistent cleanup efforts.

In total, 4ocean and Azenco Outdoor collected 5,257.97 pounds (about 2384.97 kg) of debris from the ocean in June. This impressive achievement underscores our dedication to marine conservation and highlights the significant impact of our combined efforts in reducing ocean pollution and protecting marine ecosystems.

Progress Update on 25,000-Pound Pledge

Our combined efforts have led to the collection of 18,612 pounds (approximately 8,442.25 kg) of debris, including our June contributions. This accomplishment signifies that we have achieved an impressive 74% of our ambitious goal of 25,000 pounds. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone at 4ocean for their hard work and dedication. We are only 6,388 pounds (about 2897.55 kg) away from our goal!
