Designing a covered outdoor kitchen to fit the unmatched luxury of Star Island real estate requires a commitment to perfection. When customer expectations are sky high, nothing except the finest materials will suffice. For this waterfront outdoor kitchen and dining space, the homeowner sought an exceptional outdoor living space that fit seamlessly with the existing architecture and styling of the poolside patio. The captivating retreat the team designed for this Star Island estate captured the vibrant essence of Miami Beach. It delivered the functionality and entertaining comfort desired by the customer.
Ultimately, the finely-appointed outdoor space would feature a luxury modern outdoor kitchen with a table-height dining bar. The kitchen included stainless appliances throughout that were embedded into a clean porcelain countertop with waterfall edges and wood tile finishes facing the kitchen cabinet. To fit seamlessly with the home’s white block-style design, the team selected large matching porcelain tiles to span the patio floor. 1. Versatile High-End Design & Functionality
To ensure the homeowners could entertain in their new luxury modern outdoor kitchen and dining space regardless of what the South Florida weather brought, the design team upgraded the R-BLADE motorized adjustable louvered roof pergola with smart options. Its refined styling seamlessly fit the exterior lines of the home, and offered the all-weather protection needed for this project. With the ability to open the louvered roof for full sun exposure on the patio, the homeowners could enjoy the bountiful sunshine that Miami Beach offers. If temperatures on the patio crept higher, they could angle the louvers to create shade and improve natural airflow.
The R-BLADE could also completely close its louvered roof to block the sun and seal out the rain. With rainwater captured by its hidden internal gutter system, every drop is able to be ported away from the sleek white porcelain patio floor ensuring entertainment never stops for an afternoon rain shower. To deliver the necessary premium outdoor living experience, the design team also incorporated smart weather sensors into the motorized pergola design. Color Selection: Luxury Modern Outdoor Kitchen
While the architectural stylings within the Star Island enclave range from turn of the century Victorian, to Spanish architecture, to modern resto-modified homes, this property featured a mid-century classic South Florida all-white design. Putting its sleek exterior lines front and center, the block-style home was a shimmering gem sitting on the edge of Biscayne Bay. To seamlessly integrate the new outdoor kitchen and R-BLADE pergola with this luxury styling, the design team selected an all-white color scheme.
Working with the grand expectations of such luxurious properties like those on Star Island requires a measured approach to design and an expedited turnaround time for manufacturing and installation. For this project, the R-BLADE pergola was designed and fabricated in six weeks. The installation team spent two weeks perfecting the installation of the new outdoor kitchen space.
