Why World Oceans Day Matters

World Oceans Day, celebrated each year on June 8, brings together individuals and organizations to highlight the importance of our oceans. Oceans regulate the Earth’s climate, provide food, ways to make a living, and support countless species.

This year, we emphasize the need to protect these resources. Oceans cover more than 70% of the Earth’s surface, yet they are constantly under threat from pollution, overfishing, and climate change.

World Oceans Day 2025 calls on us to reflect on the beauty of the ocean and our shared responsibility to protect it. It’s a time to learn, share, and inspire each other to take meaningful steps that support ocean health. By celebrating this day, Azenco Outdoor joins a global movement that seeks to ensure the long-term health of our oceans.

Our Partnership with 4ocean

A Shared Mission for Cleaner Oceans

Our work with 4ocean began because we wanted to do more for the environment. Together, we’ve pulled more than 68,000 pounds of plastic waste from the oceans. This shows how teamwork and consistent effort can make a real difference. We believe that businesses like ours can drive positive change, and partnering with 4ocean proves that luxury outdoor living and caring for the planet go hand in hand.

Third Cleanup Round in May 2025

May 2025 marked another successful month in our joint cleanup efforts. During this third round of cleanups, the 4ocean teams worked tirelessly to remove marine debris and promote healthier ecosystems. These cleanups included four key efforts:

  • Java River Boom 4, with 3 crew members collecting 137.70 pounds of waste.
  • Bali Jembrana Beach, where 9 crew members collected 1,608.36 pounds.
  • Bali Jembrana Fleet, with 15 crew members removing 3,041.37 pounds.
  • Bali River Boom 1, with 4 crew members removing 1,431.77 pounds.

Each cleanup not only removes waste but also educates communities about the consequences of plastic pollution. The dedication of the crews shows the power of teamwork and the importance of this cause. The data collected during these cleanups also helps us better understand where waste accumulates and how to prevent it!
